Don't do that then. The $PATH is set to include ${TOPDIR}/lbin before
anything else, and the rest of the build system assumes you have at
least built a working tools/ complete (maybe even toolchain).
“make subdir=xxx/yyy foo” and “make package=yyy foo” (a short-hand for
the former) are TOOLS FOR DEVELOPERS WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING, and
they are intended to be run on an actually used build tree. So please
do a “make” first, you can ctrl-c it after tools/ is built or just let
it run through with bbconfig.norm at first, before doing that.
I will not make “make subdir=…” even slower than it is – while it al-
ready doesn't build dependent packages, it’s still running the config
split thingie, which is slow enough and annoys me often enough.
