No, I haven't tried OpenWRT yet - I just love FreeWRT ;) There is one weird thing going on though, lspci reports a 56k modem in the 500gP: 0:06.0 Modem: Broadcom Corporation BCM47xx V.92 56k modem (rev 09)
That is quite funny. Done :) After some hours of googleing and hacking makefiles I finally got Samba 3 running. There was a forum post ( http://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?pid=65605 ) where somebody posted a build package for OpenWRT and I changed the Makefile so it would compile with FreeWRT 1.0.3. My freewrt-image.bin is only 5 MB with samba3 (and lots of other stuff), this is much less than I expected. If you want you can have a look at it at: http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~klada/freewrt/samba3-freewrt.tar.bz2 http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~klada/freewrt/samba_3.0.26a-1_mipsel.ipk http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~klada/freewrt/samba-passwd_3.0.26a-1_mipsel.ipk - Daniel
