Yeah, the Linux kernel compilation processes are really weird.
They shouldn't depend on /bin/sh to be bash[23] though, as FreeWRT
can be built with mksh as /bin/sh...

Can you send me (privately) the full build log?

Yeah, *I* know... which is why I'm making mksh so portable.
If we cannot get that problem of yours fixed, we'll just use
mksh to build the Linux kernel, or something... dunno.
