This is actually valid in a #!/bin/sh script in trunk, since we are
allowed to take advantage of mksh there. (The remainder of this and
many other scripts make me shudder though.)

Note I can’t reliably upgrade OpenVPN to 2.1 in trunk since I don’t
have a test scenario. Anyone interested who can test it out?
