I've just placed an Atheros mini PCI card for the wireless part in my WL500gp and have installed freewrt (I am moving from oleg's firmware). I am having problems now getting the hostpad to work: I have like this: wifi0 - wireless interface detected by default ath0 - wireless created by wlanconfig (either with scripts or manually by myself) My hostapd conf looks like this: http://pastebin.com/m5544c533 (I don't know if I should leave bridge blank or commented out - for atheros I see it is suggested not to leave it commented out - but I'm not bridging WLAN with anything so I have doubts on what I should do) The problem is that if I try to start hostpad I get some errors. I even created a bridge interface (as I noticed it removed some of the errors) and am now receiving: http://pastebin.com/m659d680e I don't understand why it switches to "network is down" and makes the wireless interface unavailable. Can someone here lend me a hand please ?
