Huge blocks of ice of about 2-3 Kg are falling from the sky in Spain and
they are so cold that they dont break when they hit the ground (after
some
time one was still at -200 C) In fact, police had a real difficult time
cutting them to send samples.

So far there have been found more than 20, in cities, airports,
countryside,
and nobody knows where they come from. The CSIC is going to study this
friday the oxigen isotops(sp?) of the water to be sure of the procedence
of
it (spanish: http://es.news.yahoo.com/000118/19/6ab8.html)

Some say they come from the trajectory of a comet, but its unlikely
because
of friction meltdown they would have a gigantic size. Also, its
composition
appears to be of pure water, and comet fragments use to carry dust and
another substances. (spanish:
http://es.news.yahoo.com/000118/13/6aft.html)

Others say they come from frozen water from airplanes, but the companies
say
its unlikely because their water uses a colorant and the blocks of ice
have
no coloring (for more info seach for ``aerolitos'' on yahoo.es)

Hmm.. suddenly I respect a lot more those cold storm D&D mages; imagine
such thing falling on your head at stupidly high speeds ... :)
