oi oi alex :-)
[frendz: alex is the current responsible person for the 'Musicians
Network' - originally devoted to getting bands playing at gigs without
having to resort to pay-to-play venues]
managed a friendly blag for the Musicians Network site - from a nice chap
called Nelf ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) who is a member of our glorious frendz list -
so a plan is needed to develop the site (and wrestle control from the
current host)
Come frendz, come all, come and give us a hand to design and develop a
great site for musos.
The current site at http://www.musiciansnetwork.org.uk/ has not been
touched since Feb 99 (due to lack of access and me being too lazy/busy to
chase it up) but it still gets a surprising amount of use, mainly in the
forum section.
By the way, the MN site is to be hosted at Telehouse (<<grin>>) -
thanks to Nelf. I'd recommend anyone looking for a website for a client to
get in touch with him and have a chat about hosting - and not just cause
he's a frend or he gave me MN free - I'm moving all my sites over to him
and I'm really pleased to be on a server in the UK with a capable admin
rather than Jumpline (US based, hosts marsbard and appdev) with their
crappy service and clueless support.
Anyway, alex, tx for giving me a reason to rant about summink for a moment
=) ... somewhere I have Weave's original Big Plan for the MN site; I'll
try to dig it out.
