Some of interested in the emergence of genetic regulatory networks
(particularly whether those dynamics may apply to some aspects of social
networks) may have seen this article in the last couple days:

http://www.playfuls.com/news_006486_New_Study_Proves_Cancer_Metastasis_Can_Be_Stopped_.html

So, a question: There's a statement in the article: "Estimates are that
only one in ten genes is active in a given cell at a given time...".
This is interesting for some upcoming simulation environment questions,
but I can't find a specific reference off hand, or how the heck they
would have figured this out. Anybody know?

Carl
