I've continued the thread relating science, religion, and doubt on my
blog<http://russabbott.blogspot.com/2008/11/religious-basis-for-secular-doubt.html>.
I make an argument that religion has valid grounds to promote science as a
religious good. (Too bad it doesn't.) If it did, it would have an
opportunity to teach people that secular doubt is a good thing (as Feynman
says) and not something to fear.  It is something to be welcomed -- on
religious grounds. Wouldn't it be wonderful if that message were absorbed by
our population!
