NMITSA <http://www.nmitsa.org> is meeting at sfComplex this Friday.
It's a great organization fostering computational innovation and
talent in NM. They typically meet in ABQ but will be coming up to
Santa Fe more frequently with this meeting being its first up here in
a while. Come on out and help support the organization for northern NM.
From Eric Whitmore:
---------------------------
Some of you are already (well) aware of this, but NMITSA will be
having its first quarterly luncheon in Santa Fe next week at the Santa
Fe Complex. In addition to that, we're planning two post-lunch
discussions that might be of interest. One is regarding activities
for a new Northern chapter of NMITSA. Another is intended to help
frame a "Challenge of Supercomputing" topic we're planning for the
Media Industries Summit in January; basically identifying some of the
next steps in digital media research and use of New Mexico's high tech
assets like NMCAC and NLR -- and education's role in building that
ecosystem.
Best wishes,
Eric
December's NMITSA Lunch is a special event in several ways:
• It's on Friday, December 12th (instead of Thursday)
• This is the first in the quarterly series of events we're planning
for Santa Fe (hosted by our friends at the Santa Fe Complex)
• It's also the first of what we hope will be an annual event to look
at New Mexico's legislative session, issues affecting our Tech
Community, and how the technology community can get involved.
