I would certainly hope so, but the evidence Doug mentions is conspicuous
and troubling. I would hope candidates for classified work would not
only be screened for untenable debt and drug addiction, but also for
weakness for religion. Or if emotional support is generally needed,
have secular counsellors on site, and not leave these things to
chance. By the time the decision has been made to pursue something
behind the fence, the wheels of our democratic government have done
their work.
