Well, in this case, it's a given that the wireless network is
`maintained', and that lots of people will complain independent of these
systems working or not. That is, it wouldn't be sane to blame these
hypothetical lease machines for malfunctions or mismanagement of the
network since there will be all sorts of people banging around in that
situation. And in spite of being guilty of
totally-incomplete-systems-requirement-specification, I'm more sensitive
in this case to the perception of
someone-trying-to-make-things-better-being-perceived-as-troublemaking.
Not that I would hesitate to engage in your line of questioning if it
were my own matter!
