Following recent discussion at FRIAM, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-Newtonian_fluid in which different properties of fluids manifest in different behavior (phenomena) depending on stress and strain (external forces) and in the case of cornstarch suspensions, on concentration. Viscosities are not constant in these fluids.

So when it comes to the emergence of the solid behavior of cornstarch slurries, I'm not sure external forces qualify as a property. Can anyone clarify?
Thanks,
Robert
