I hesitate to use those because they don't seem to fit the (my?) generic description of cloud computing. I'm aware the term is too vague to be useful; so, I'll throw some words at it. I'm more interested in a publicly accessible infrastructure (i.e. anyone can invoke virtual machines), allowing generic computation (i.e. any program can be executed on the invoked machines), and with a customizable toolchain (e.g. choice of OS, choice of compiler, etc.). > or there should be lots from > > http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ This is much closer. Now I just need to find some published articles in science journals that relied on BOINC for their results.
