Thus spake Douglas Roberts circa 10-02-19 12:47 PM: > Did you wake up on the wrong side of your bunker this morning?
No. I just want to know why you sent this stuff to this list? I could infer many relevant applied complexity points from this story. But I would only be putting words in your mouth. So far, it seems like you just got pissed and are willing to waste everyone's time thinking about you and your life. That's certainly how it feels when you "groan, not again" in response to someone who wants to talk about emergence for the umpteenth time. It's like, "uh-oh, Doug doesn't want to talk about this; so he's going to make a bunch of dissatisfaction noises". At least, however, you're content-less "groan, not again" messages are on topic for the list. It's similar for overly "academic" topics/posts you continually bitch about. "Uh-oh, if I use words or concepts that are too vague, we'll get a bunch of dissatisfaction noises out of Doug." Even THOSE silly rants against academic language are on topic. But this little episode is PURE narcissism on your part. Or at least it seems that way. I'm hoping you'll make some deeper point about, say, the semi-permeable membranes of the "corporation" or something. Note that I'm fine with this being a "bitch about random things" mailing list, if that's the way you want to use it. I just didn't think that's what it was about. -- glen e. p. ropella, 971-222-9095, http://agent-based-modeling.com ============================================================ FRIAM Applied Complexity Group listserv Meets Fridays 9a-11:30 at cafe at St. John's College lectures, archives, unsubscribe, maps at http://www.friam.org
