Irene, and others,

For a much less worthy cause, I have been on the look out for one of these for
years. So if somebody has a bunch, after Irene has hers, please let me know.

Eveli Abeyta, a young friend from Santo Domingo, is coming back to her pueblo
this summer to work for her tribe's Natural Resource Branch as an environmental
scientist. She has just finished her junior year at Georgetown University on a
Gates Millennial Scholarship. She is looking for a simple light microscope
that she can use this summer for her research on local plants and soil (with
magnification up to 1500X - 2000X).

Please let me know if you have a microscope that you could donate or loan to
her for the summer.

Thanks,
--Irene

Hello Irene,

How have you been? It has been a really long time since our last chat. Hope all
is going well :)
I'm just about finishing up the Spring semester of my Junior year, and looking
forward to summer break. I am planning on doing outdoor research for my tribe
and with my tribe's Natural Resource Branch. I was wondering, do you know of
anyone or of any place that is willing to donate or sell a (simple) light
microscope that I can use for my research? I want to focus on plants and soils
this summer.
