Last night Wolf Ketter and John Collins spoke at OTUG (http://otug.org/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page)
They presented information about Agent-based competitive simulation: Exploring future retail energy markets. This is an up-coming open competition where participants are invited to submit their "broker" agent implementations in a retail energy trading simulation. One of their goals is to help create future energy markets which encourage renewable and sustainable energy practices. It sounded like something right in-line with the interests of some members of this list. Perhaps you're already aware of it.
