Google is entering into the video fight, and seems to me to be an ugly move
aimed at Apple and possibly HTML5.

It's really unpleasant being manipulated by powerful "interests". Standards
being ignored for lock-in or deals. Apple's in-your-face partnership with ATT,
and next Verizon, forcing folks to move from their current provider. ISPs &
cellular providers that are manipulative and deliver really poor service. And
most customers oblivious to the harm. Damn.
I suspect yet another Browser War, just when it looked to be over. Lets hope
Google works with Adobe to get Flash that works.
And anyone who thinks Flash is just another codec simply needs to look at their
performance monitor. Laptops running much Flash are running out of battery up
to an hour earlier!
