This Wednesday (12:00-1:30) we'll have an informal roundtable discussion on
JavaScript Everywhere.
Roundtables are informal group discussions of our experiences of emerging
technologies.
Examples include WebGL/OpenGl, Projects status and direction, developing for
iPhone and Android, Ambient computing, HTML5, Chrome OS and so on .. basically
current interesting tech.
At our WedTech tomorrow, we'll have a JavaScript Everywhere conversation,
focusing on the rapidly growing use of JavaScript not only in the browser but
beyond. We'll include desktop JS using spidermonkey, rhino and V8, server JS
via node.js, and networking via JSON (JavaScript Object Notation). We'll touch
on just why JS is gaining interest as developers discover that JS is Lisp in C
clothing!
Drop by and share how you use JS. How do you develop JS projects? Where do
you use them? Where do you see interesting possibilities for JS on the server
and for networking? What would you like to do with JS?
Be prepared to discuss your experiences and interests of JavaScript outside the
browser. If you have a demo, bring it along!
