Maybe "connects", something which somehow connects psychology with neuroscience. Someone said "the only constructive theory connecting neuroscience and psychology will arise from the study of software" (cs.yale.edu/quotes.html).

I think a useful theory of this kind has more in common
with ecology or sociology: it must describe complex adaptive
systems which consist of many elements - systems that are
able to adjust and adapt themselves.
