In response to following of Steve Smith on knowledge, physics, and
philosophy: *"Philosophy is about understanding, physics is about knowledge
first and understanding only insomuch as it is a part of natural philosophy.
" *(smith)
I only take issue with the use of the word "knowledge". I realize what he is
referring to, but I believe that knowledge encompasses the scientifically
provable (measurements, etc) as well as the results of intuition, spiritual
assessment, and such.
