This is my favorite review:
If you're looking for a quick thoughtful diversion, "Second Cousins" might
be the ticket. This book covers beer drinking, mountain climbing, motorcycle
riding, cold fusion, intergalactic travel, gas chromatography,
extraterrestrial life, linux, global and intergalactic politics, and a love
story - all in a 4 hour read!
(ok, your mileage may vary; I read fast)
regardless, if you:
1. are a geek
2. like technical fiction that is not hogwash
3. don't have the time to invest in a Neal Stephenson sized read
This is the book for you
I've downloaded onto the kindle and will read it after the current Foreigner
series (C J Cherryh) I'm reading.
