An update and prod for folks interested in Machine Learning at the Complex.
Steve sent out earlier message to Friam on the Stanford Machine Learning class that is a new experiment on open education: http://ml-class.org/ The class will be world wide, and free. And if you finish you'll get a certificate of achievement. 43,874 people have signed up as of this morning! If you think you'd like to attend, watch the two videos on the page above and check the FAQ there. The class will start October 10, and end on December 16. We may also have some UNM support that Ed is looking into. If you haven't hit delete yet, you can check out some of the prior class notes and videos: http://www.stanford.edu/class/cs229/ http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=A89DCFA6ADACE599 Lots of info there. The notes alone are a 142 page book! -- Owen ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: <[email protected]> Date: Thu, Aug 18, 2011 at 12:15 PM Subject: Stanford Machine Learning Class To: [email protected] Dear Owen Densmore, Thank you for signing up for Machine Learning.
