Wow! Finally the SunRay (desktop w/ all the bits on the server) for the Rest of Us!
OK, here's the dream that several folks at Sun Labs had: your desktop had a screen that you could pop out like a tablet. So we're likely to get it today given the iPad and other tablet successes. If they go entirely to the cloud for your backing store (Dropbox was mentioned), it'd be the end-game for all-your-data-everywhere (even TV)! Pretty heady. -- Owen On Wed, Feb 22, 2012 at 11:25 PM, Joshua Thorp <[email protected]> wrote: > > > Very interesting, running a cloud based windows machine on your iPad. > > > http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/23/technology/personaltech/onlive-desktop-plus-puts-windows-7-on-the-ipad-in-blazing-speed-state-of-the-art.html > > > > > > ============================================================ > FRIAM Applied Complexity Group listserv > Meets Fridays 9a-11:30 at cafe at St. John's College > lectures, archives, unsubscribe, maps at http://www.friam.org >
