When I recently replaced my cracked iPhone screen (replacement screen from
iCracked.com), I decided to get a tool set that I could use not only for
the phone but for modern uni-body laptops and tablets.

This convinced me that indeed, the phone revolution is now guiding not only
the software but the hardware of future laptops:

All the guts of the MBP look just like the guts of the iPhone.  Even the
battery tech is similar, SSDs used for storage, and RAM soldered in.  Ditto
new screw sets and so on.

.. with a finger pointed to "us" the consumer "voting" for this new
approach.  I doubt Apple is the only one listening so it will likely impact
all of us.

So I recommend buying the iFixIt tools for your future computers, along
