I have no confidence in behavioral technology. I'm using the word
`treatment' in the experimental design sense. One `treatment' could be
long term containment, another could be castration, or, heck, even
termination of the offender. I would only steer away from the latter
options for pedophiles because the free will punishment folks will
pile-on and confuse matters, and would make a costly situation even more
expensive. And not that I would say physical abuse of children has any
special status over physical abuse of any other defenseless adult person.
