Its the old WYSINWIS.  What you see is not what I see.

Best is "plain text" .. then the receiver gets to choose the font.
 Google's odd small, normal, large huge font sizes are odd.

Here's a trick: Send an email to a friend and ask for a screenshot of what
he/she sees lie below.  Often surprising.
