Stephen often teases me about mentioning Carnegie Mellon so much.  He has
taken to calling CMU the "Center of the Material Universe."  I was a charter
member of the faculty of that School's Robotics Institute in 1980.  I think
even non-Pittsburghers will find this article interesting:
