The absence of depression doesn't seem to me to be the same thing as the presence of dominance behaviors, risk taking, etc. that might be specifically associated with testosterone. Other aspects of personality that are influenced by the endocrine system could be modulated by depression too. I mean, Prozac (etc) may help the subordinate person cope in their subordinate position, but won't necessarily cause them to be an alpha, or make subversive plans against the alphas.
