More folks are starting to buy their own phones and getting separate
cellular plans .. which can vastly reduce your monthly bill.  I went from a
roughly $80-$100 monthly to a $47 monthly buying an android and using a
pay-as-you-go TMo plan (5G/100minutes)

The good news is that there are lots of affordable phones.  The bad news is
that it won't hurt Apple due to customer loyalty and the 2yr contracts
sorta hides the true cost of mobile. And they're wealthy, apparently.
