Glen, I know Nora Bateson, author of "Small Arcs of Larger Circles." She and I were both elected as Fellows of the Lindisfarne Association. She's Gregory Bateson's daughter--and that should give you a clue as to the depth and breadth of her investigation into systems theory. She also made a wonderful documentary film about her father's work, "An Ecology of Mind", worth a look if you can find it.
