Hi, Gillian,

I think a lot of people are feeling how you feel, these days. The political
situation has a lot of people on edge. For many, who are not as secured by
loving families as you or I, the feeling is economic, and foreshadows the crash
that almost certainly will occur sometime in the next few years. Count
yourself luck (as I do) that you are not one of those. Still, even though that
angst may not apply literally to you, if floats in the air and effects all of
us.

If I were in your shoes, I would call up Debby Wimberly and ask if she might
see you for a one time consultation (or have a longish talk with you over the
phone) the goal of which would be to figure out what sort of a counselor you
are looking for, psychiatrist, psychologist, “life coach” and solicit some
candidate names from her . Then I would see one of the people she recommends
for at least two months, no matter how uncomfortable it might seem. Then,
re-evaluate. Debby is no longer in practice but I am sure she would give you
some names.

I don’t know whether you got much of a response from FRIAM, but please do not
be much affected by any lack of response. We can be a great help sometimes and
a total washout at others, depending on how much we are absorbed in our own
worlds, at a given time.

Take care,
