Thanks for the sad news, Tom. David Pines changed my life, and I told him so. He and Suzy and I were good friends. David smoothed the way for my appointment as Guest Scientist and Affiliate at CNLS, and his early work helping to start SFI changed my mental model of the world. He will be missed.
