Gentlemen and Ladies of FRIAM

My good friend Prof. Jim Brown of Indianapolis -- who has joined the FRIAN
Zoomers in the past -- recently sent out a pre-print of his most serious,
though preliminary, study of the baking of bagels. This seems to be a
topic of concern lately. I recommend it for your edification and, perhaps,
inspiration. NB: Who knew there were such devices as bagel spindles?
