I once was on a project concerned with reducing cellulose to glucose, and part of it was imaging with STMs and similar devices. The enzymes that break the hydrogen or glycosidic bonds DO look like little robots -- if one is not too rigid -- not boxy and no red or blue LEDs but indeed nanomachines! Marcus
