I apologize for the two insane messages I sent to Jon and to the list I had
thought my dictation was better than it actually was. The basic idea was that
the aggregate/density of distinction is not a distinction: iE, the two words
refer to the same thing. However the intensive/ emergent pairing refers to two
quite different concepts so we have not a 2 x 2 table but a 2 x 2 x 2 cube.

Let me take one more step in this analysis. Psychologists like to analyze
things in 2 x 2 tables so what about the 2 x 2 table that relates the intensive
extensive distinction in the aggregate emerging distinction. The upper left so
is easy so let’s begin there. It seems to me that aggregate properties and
extensive properties are, you’ll pardon the expression clothes, call extensive
that is they are one in the same. Any property that is sensitive only to the
number of components in the system will vary with the size of the system. So I
think we can salt That away. Then, the The only real question then what is the
relationship between an emergent property and intensive one. It now seems to
me, forced to think hard about it, that the two are entirely orthogonal that we
can shuffle the parts around and change the property of the group drastically
without changing its mass at all for instance sorry without changing its
density. Well either, For that matter. that’s as much as I will force you to
endure today. I hope you guys can find a way to enjoy this glorious day!

Been thinking about fractals and analytic continuations for recursive
algorithms, lately. I would love to read some thoughts.
