It's quite sad. When Renee' and I moved to SFe, the only local brewery was the
Blue Corn ... which was ... well ... inadequate. We were continously present
after 2nd Street opened. Renee' broke her 1st ann mug a long time ago, though.
(At least *I* claim it was her mug that broke. 8^D)
2 other memories. We ended many SwarmFests at 2nd Street, during one of which
Ken Cline regaled us with his ability to sing. And one night when we'd had too
much, we left Renee's Honda in the tiny parking area behind the building and
someone broke her back window and stole her cheap speaker box and Ray-Bans, but
left something like $50 in cash in the glove box. *8^|

2nd Street will still have the railyard and Rufina locations. Our Wednesday Wedtech
lunches were a regular event there for for about 10 years.
BTW, 2nd Street was the first place I stopped in Santa Fe when I first met Glen
and Marcus in person in 1999 when they were both working with SWARM at Marcus
at SFI and Glen with SwarmCorp with Chris Langton. :-)
Since the pandemic, 2nd street was closed for a year and then this last year
only opening after 4p. This will be a farewell get-together this afternoon.
We'll probably have our in-person meetings back up at St Johns and may decide
to do that either Wed mornings, Wed lunch. We'll still keep virtual FRIAM on
Fridays so we can still engage with all the remote members.
Merle, please join us at 2nd Street this afternoon if you can make it! Bring
big tips for Ernie and the other servers :-)
