Tangential question. How do people communicate electronically these days? Here in Ecuador, land lines are gone except in the cities. Text messages are almost never used, and I think the USA must be about the only country that still uses them. Email for anything official. No postal service - it went bankrupt years ago here. WhatsApp rules here.
