Pieter, I am dubious but ffor far less insightful reasons. It just seems to me that the government that talks about annexing canada and greenland and repossessing the Panama Canal is not obviously taking a more responsible role in international affairs. The populace may be coming to that conclusion, but the government has just changed its view of which wars it wants to fight.
