Yep. If we generalize farther than I ever intended in this argument, anyone who *identifies* with any subset of their behavior or experience is also in the category ... like a European complaining how Americans' first ice breaker in a conversation is "What do you do?" ... as if our job defines us as people.
An emotionally immature friend of mine, here in Oly, claims "I'm not a joiner." My response is that I'm a habitual joiner. I join everything I can within whatever constraints. My identity emerges kinda like security through obscurity. I wish Meta and Google good luck targeting me in their precision Ad campaigns. Spotify, Tidal, and QOBuz have all failed miserably to profile my music taste. I'm subscribed to 341 youtube channels and YT fails to predict videos I'd like so badly I can use it as argument fodder against my anarchist friends who attribute Satan status to Alphabet. So pfffft.
