And yes, my "negotiation artifact" variant is an extension conceptually to include the point of an ongoing negotiation/co-evolution of said "boundary object".

At one time I imagined "BNA" was a recieved term from some BO adjacency, but it appears it is my own hallucination which (continues to) work for me, even if it doesn't have a precedent in the larger culture/literature.

In this context I suppose I posit a BNA to be "as good as it gets"... something which lies roughly at the surface of one or another markov blanket or perhaps at the impingement of two such during an "attempt to communicate".

An MB in my apprehension is.an idealized artifact of agency which is not as crisp as "boundary" would imply, and is an active participant (vaguely a semantic transduction element) in agent-agent as well as agent-environment communication.
