I have now created release branch. I am now doing final testing.
Unless some serious problems show up the release will be identical
to current release branch. After testing I will prepare Linux
binaries. I encourage everybody with spare cycles to check
release branch, especially on rare architectures.
Also, if somebody can provide binaries for another architecture(s)
I will make them available with the release.
Developement on trunk can go as usual.
