Hello, I've tried to build fricas with ecl 9.8.4 from the source tarball that I've generated myself following Waldek's hint in http://groups.google.com/group/fricas-devel/browse_thread/thread/5324a77c4fca53f4/82fc4fb124745ee0?lnk=gst&q=mkdist#82fc4fb124745ee0
That is, I did a full compilation (including --enable-aldor). That went fine. I could also make the files for gphts as described in the INSTALL file. Then I issued mkdist mkdist.sh --copy_lisp --copy_gphts \ --copy_phts --copy_noweb=/path/to/noweb-2.10a.tgz \ --copy_help=/path/to/help_files_from_fricas-1.0.7-full.tar.bz2 to create http://sage.math.washington.edu/home/hemmecke/pub/fricas-1.0.7.r672-full.tar.bz2 I can configure and compile that until it comes to the libaxiom.al build. There I get a message like make VERSION=1.0.7.r672 DAASE=/home/hemmecke/v/hg/fricas-aldor-spkg/build/target/i686-pc-linux /home/hemmecke/v/hg/fricas-aldor-spkg/build/target/i686-pc-linux/bin/AXIOMsys < tmp/dep_A1AGG.lsp > tmp/dep_A1AGG.log test -f gendeps/A1AGG.dep make: *** [gendeps/A1AGG.dep] Error 1 with a tmp/dep_A1AGG.log looking like http://www.risc.jku.at/people/hemmecke/tmp/6e1429f60ff1e91cf3b9f02ebb9e09f2 I cannot figure out why that fails since everything seems to be in the right place. If someone has an idea here are the steps to repeat my commands: hg clone http://boxen.math.washington.edu:9873 fricas-aldor-spkg cd fricas-aldor-spkg wget http://sage.math.washington.edu/home/hemmecke/pub/fricas-1.0.7.r672-full.tar.bz2 # Make sure that ecl 9.8.4 is in your path and Aldor is installed. make VERSION=1.0.7.r672 (Actually, at the place where my build fails, the aldor compiler hasn't yet been called, but aldor is necessary for the configure script.)
