I never use this. Why does not using it make you feel uncomfortable?
FriCAS does not use readline by default, instead it uses something
similar called "clef". To get real readline type editing support you
could try building FriCAS using a Lisp system with readline enabled,
then run FriCAS like this:
# fricas -noclef
Caveat: I haven't tried this lately.
