I'm not sure whether that helps, but for some reason
./configure --enable-gmp
seems to run without problems, but the actual compilation doesn't find gmp.
Can you show the config.log and figure out where exactly gmp is
installed. In particular look for libgmp.so and gmp.h. Currently
configure also succeeds when it finds libgmp.a, but fricas (sbcl) needs
the .so file.
