I need to add the following.
1. The examples are run on FriCAS 1.1.5
built from source under --with-lisp= GNU CLISP 2.48
on Debian Linux.
2. The C programs are compiled like this: gcc -O2 -o fifoA fifoA.c
3. Typo > mkifo ...
