I just compiled Fricas 1.1.8 with SBCL 1.1.0 on a Mac Pro Quad-Core Xeon
with
./configure --enable-gmp --with-lisp=sbcl
make -j8
su
make install
The build appears to work, so try SBCL 1.1.0

I've also tried to build FriCAS with sbcl (1.0.23), which was a failure. I don't
know why.
I hope this information will be helpful for people who wants to use FriCAS
on a Mac. I also attached the log file for compiling with sbcl.
