Hi Krystian, My involvement with FriCAS is as a user and occasional contributer of SPAD code.
What you are working on looks good to me so I just wanted to offer my encouragement. One thing that specially interests me would be a two-way graphical interface to FriCAS. This may not be too important for numerical work but using the command line for finite structures like graph theory is just too clunky and I have effectively given up trying to do that sort of thing with FriCAS for now. If your project allowed SPAD generated code to be embedded in a mainstream language with good graphics support (Like Java of Python), then I think the sort of things I want to do become more possible. Of course, the other things you mention, like better error messages and the longer term possibility of improvements to SPAD also look good. I am tempted to ask lots of questions about the project, but I suspect that would not be very helpful at this stage, so I think the best thing I can do is wish you success and let you get on with it. Martin PS If there was some way I could help (despite my lack of knowledge of FriCAS internals) then let me know. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "FriCAS - computer algebra system" group.
