Waldek,
I can start working on a SPAD version of mathprintWithNumber AKA
algebraFormat (which will use existing OutputForm/SExpression structure)
now if you like. I am reasonably confident that I can have it fully
functional (both 1D and 2D) in a few weeks time.
After that I could work on 'output' (if you could re-route it via Spad)
I wonder if some of the code in i-output.boot can be removed rather than
rewritten. For instance: if the person writing a domain does not include
a coerce to OutputForm then, when an instance of that domain is output,
it will display it as a lisp structure (which can be intimidating to new
SPAD users). Would it be better to put effort into making sure all
domains do have coerce that trying to retain this feature?
If it were upto me I would not put any scarce resources into fortran and
HyperDoc, but you're the boss, I can see you are determined and I won't
quibble. I personally don't want to work this part of the code though.
