It seems to me that rep and per really ought to be defined as part of
the SPAD language in the same manner as Rep.  It seems silly to have
to explicitly include them as macros.  Rep, rep and per should all be
built-in. Ultimately there should be no automatic or implicit
conversions to and from Rep.  It seems to me that these hidden
conversions are a source of confusion in legacy SPAD code that does
not use rep and per.
